This
is an old folk remedy that will work on liver spots - also called age spots - with persistence.
Although, it may take up to six weeks to see results. Brown spots on the hands, face, legs and elsewhere on the body are often regarded as signs of aging. They are also called liver spots and are thought by some to be the result of a malfunctioning liver. In fact, some successful remedies for age spots involve cleansing the liver. The most common cause of age spots, however, seems to be ultra violet ray exposure, since these brown spots typically occur on the parts of the body that are most often exposed to the sun. You could spend a small fortune trying all of the age spot remedies on the market. You may get results or you may not. Before you spend another dime on such products, try one or both of the following simple remedies: Mix one part onion juice with two parts of apple cider vinegar. Apply this mixture to age spots once or twice per day. Store the remainder of the remedy in the refrigerator. An alternate remedy involves a paste made of castor oil and baking soda. Similarly, apply this mixture once or twice per day. Store the remainder in an air-tight container in a cool, dark place. If either of these remedies is going to work, it will take persistence. Although results may come more quickly, typically improvements are not seen for several weeks. |
