Controlling your weight and avoiding weight gain as you get older are important ways to prevent a host of weight-related health problems.

Indeed, if you are more than 20 pounds over your ideal weight, you are at greater risk for a rogue's gallery of potentially deadly conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, endometrial cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, and breast cancer.

Furthermore, most people who are overweight tend to avoid exercise, and that avoidance just adds to the toll paid for extra pounds. (Incidentally, you can use hypnosis to encourage yourself to exercise more often!)

If you have a sedentary lifestyle and are overweight, you are at a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and other health problems. If you already have a medical condition such as high cholesterol, being overweight puts you at higher risk for complications.

The good news is that, if you are overweight, even modest amounts of weight loss can improve your health significantly.  Loss of 10% of your body weight can reduce blood pressure, high cholesterol, triglyceride, and high blood sugar levels.

Today, there are many procedures that can contribute and help people loss weight effectively. One of the safest and most effective ways is through hypnosis.  

Here are some facts that will give you an insight as to how hypnosis can help with your body weight issues:

1. Hypnosis is not dangerous.  You can find a certified hypnotherapist or you can use pre-recorded audios.

2.  It is important to continue with your regular weight loss program while you use hypnosis.

3.  You have to keep going to sessions or using audios until you achieve the results you want.  This isn't about doing one hypnosis session and it's all fixed.  Unwanted programming is often layered.  It takes numerous sessions to penetrate those layers.  Hypnosis is fast, but it won't undo 20 years of damage in one session - or even 5.  Typically, for a big problem or habit it takes about 20 sessions.  This is still faster than trying to do it on your own - or never doing it at all.

3. Hypnosis helps you bypass your conscious mind and get into your subconscious.  Once there, you can do some "re-wiring."

4. The hypnotic state is a perfectly natural one.  It should not be thought of as "paranormal," "occult," or "magical."

Hypnosis can be an excellent way to enhance any weight loss efforts you are currently engaged in or plan to undertake.
